(invisible as well as physical). In more resent news there was a teen deaf boy being refused access with their hearing dog. And now a boy with Autism of 7, the mother with his service dog is refused to access the school. The school even stated that they would not even allow a guide dog team in. The blind person but not their dog. Now what type of teaching is these schools saying. It's OK to break the law! On the brighter side though there are many businesses that abides by the law. Never giving an issue. leah unfortunately not everybody in the business world comprehends that any service animal is allowed to accompany a person with a disability. (invisible as well as physical). I thought everyone was understand of service dogs--I guess not. Thanks for reminding me to think about others more. I remember the Wiener Mobile came to my elementary school in 6th grade. My teacher thought it was a waste of time so I didn't get to see it either! How horrible! I thought everyone was understand of service dogs–I guess not. Sorry that you couldn't go on the tour. You are so right that would be once in a life time! I could relate to your story as I too have a service dog. Most of the time we have no real issues and are not usually discriminate against. But on that occasion there is one or two that does. Some people still use the health issues when it comes to food when in reality our dogs are much cleaner and well groomed then some people are. Like you I do not like to go back to where I am not wanted. Though I do make sure others know about the discrimination issues. Thanks for sharing! Oh wow! Sorry that you couldn’t go on the tour.
